VECINDAD MURALES FEST
July 4–14
Coyoacán, Mexico City
We understand art not as an external imposition, but as a seed planted in the common courtyard. Through a 10-day residency and mural production, this festival does not seek to dictate an aesthetic, but to join the pulse of the vecindad: that sacred space where private life becomes collective. We believe in a barrio that demands, questions, and cares; our goal is to strengthen both intrapersonal and collective bonds, transforming the wall into a mirror where the community recognizes and connects with itself. We come to be neighbors, to listen to the echo of the streets, and to add our lines to a history that is already being written.
Festival Objectives
Strengthening Human Connections
Using the artistic process as a catalyst for neighbors to meet, connect, and spend time together.

Celebrating Neighborhood Identity
Recognizing and amplifying the voice of a community that knows what it wants for its public space.

Horizontal Exchange
Ensuring that international artists not only leave behind a mural, but also take with them the lessons, relationships, and cultural richness born from living alongside the Mexican community.

Social and Environmental Dialogue
Creating spaces for reflection on our shared environment, guided by the belief that a neighborhood is cared for by everyone.
