Welcome to Vecindad Murales. We are a public art project in Mexico City where artists, neighbors, and travelers come together to transform shared spaces through creativity.
Our murals are only part of the story. We also host artist residencies, cultural events, and a home where people from different backgrounds live, create, and exchange ideas together.

STORY
Vecindad Murales began in 2020 with a single mural on Héroes del 47.
What started as a small neighborhood initiative between friends quickly became something bigger. As more artists, neighbors, and volunteers joined in, the murals gave people a place to meet, connect, and imagine their streets differently.
Since then, our projects have spread across Coyoacán and beyond, but the idea has remained the same: every mural is an opportunity to bring people together. The murals may stay on the buildings, but what matters most are the connections they leave behind.

At Vecindad Murales, we believe art and community are inseparable. Our residency brings together artists, neighbors, and travelers from different cultures, backgrounds, and disciplines. Through painting, music, writing, workshops, and everyday life, we create opportunities to meet, collaborate, and learn from one another.

Because the most meaningful transformations rarely happen in front of a finished mural. They happen over shared meals, long conversations, unexpected collaborations, and the relationships that continue long after the paint has dried.

Every mural, workshop, exhibition, and community gathering begins with people who genuinely believe in the power of art to bring others together.
Led by Davi Vargas, our team includes muralists, musicians, writers, neighbors, volunteers, and friends. Some have been here for years. Others arrive for a single project and become part of the story.
We don't want you to simply visit our murals. We want you to meet the people who paint them, cook for them, organize them, and fill this place with life.

IMPACT
